Yes, Gamo uses the same powerplant in most of their guns excluding the IGT series.
Just diffrent stocks and a few other add ons.

Get a Crosman. I know nothing of the gamo's but I really like my Crosman Titan. Phantom is a sweet little shooter also. If your looking for an economical gun keep an eye out on airgunsdaily. They have some great values on there!

Brady is right. Go with a Crosman. The Crosmans have no plastic internals I know of, but the Gamos have quite a few plastic internals.

Crosman also has good customer service and parts available from the manufacturer. Gamo...not so much.

Nothing wrong with older, metal trigger Gamo series rifles.

Shadow 1000, Hunter 220, 440s with the b-19 trigger....nice guns.

Just bought another old hunter 220 to have a good parts backup.

Why do you want a Gamo when there are Hatsans, used RWSs and others.

Read about Gamos and Cros/Benj Trails and other stuff before you buy, go German if you can, or be ready for about $130 worth of stuff to make the "inexpensive" gun work (sorta) like the real deal.

I agree with VA Farmer.  If you find one of the METAL TRIGGER Models, get it and replace the trigger.
In today's marketed models, I agree with Saade...RWS or maybe the Hatsans.

There are better airguns out there, but my gamo didn't need $130 worth of stuff to make it shoot similar to the real deals!!!!  If you want a shooter right out of the box my suggestion would be to spend the extra cash on a German or similar built rifle. If you are a tinkerer and want to learn the ins and outs of tuning a springer then a gamo is an excellent platform.

Just a thought....if it were not for entry level guns like $100 Gamos a lot of us would have never got into this sport....Ive had an old SM1000 for years and never used it....it wasnt until I got my daughter a Recon that I became interested in shooting air guns again....I went out and bought a Gamo Hornet....then a couple of my buddies came by now they own $100 to $200 guns.....we have a blast.....one of my friends is looking into a better gun already.....the other is happy with just something to plink with....as for me.....Im hooked.....Id love an old FWB or Weihraunch....just not in the budget for an out of work plumber right now....just pick up something and shoot it
