Just installed the GRT-4G on my Silent Cat! Photos inside!

I got my gun a few weeks ago and only put about 15 rounds through it when I stumbled across this site talking about a trigger upgrade, I said what the heck and sent off my money to get one. It completely blew me away the difference between the stock and the GRT-4G Trigger! Thanks for a wonderful product Bob!


I made a stupid mistake of putting the "fat pin" in reverse where the skinny side is inside the trigger, So I thought hmm, this needs to be filed off, so I used my dremel and shaved off the part of the plastic where the pin goes through thinking the fat part goes through there. (I misread one part of the instructions where he says "Be sure that the fat pin moves in the slot and does not come in contact with the surface edge of the slot in the cover. If it does, you may need to file the surface slightly for the needed clearance.") Then I started looking and it hit me.. I had it in reverse! It was a snug fit but I got it in there after pushing down with a little bit of pressure. I felt like an idiot afterwards. Thank goodness this didn't effect the functionality of the gun!

The scope I have on it is Leapers 5th Gen 3-9x40.







Here is the spring compressor I paid my brother to make so I could install the trigger with. I was using towels and a paracord wrapped around it to keep it in place but the pressure backed the C-clamp out. He had a groove where the C-camp sat and then he blocked off the top part with a block of wood and sealed it with wood glue. Just like I thought it came out. So we manually did the spring compression to get the pin that holds the trigger housing in place out. I laid a towel down on the edge of the brick fire place, slow and controlled I then compressed the spring while my Dad got a screwdriver and pushed the pin out. It was easier than I thought but It did require a considerable amount of pressure.

Beautiful looking gun. I'm hoping to get one of those triggers too for my Gamo, didn't know you needed a spring compressor to install it though. Might be an issue.

Dude ur weapon looks awesone..... Where did u find that tri pod rest at I want one.  hope u don't mind I'm gonna make my weapon  look just like urs... Now about that trigger I'm gonna order one maybe next week along with a seal and lubes. Can u really tell a difference? Has ur grouping changed are u more accurate? Love ur setup scope tripod trigger will be doin the same

Thanks man! You dont need a compressor but it is recommended, But I had no problems compressing it myself.

Awesome looking rifle!!  I just picked up a Silent Cat today.  My other rifle is scoped, so for now I plan on just using it open sights.  I want at least one open sight rifle.  My bi pod should be here any day now for my Stoeger in my profile picture.  I'll post pix once I get it on there.  BTW, how do you post pix on here???

Oh yeah....forgot to mention, with my first compressor I used an electric cord wrapped around the air rifle and my spring compressor to hold it down.  ha ha
