Benjamin Marauder - Air Leak repair

Hello all,

I was able to repair the pesky leak I had developed in my Marauder after leaving it degassed for a couple of weeks while I worked on a new stock for it.  Fairly simple fix and I wanted to share the information with others that might be in need of help.  It appeared to have been leaking around the pressure gauge assembly, but what I found eventually, was it was leaking around the port, gauge assembly through one or both of the larger o-rings. 

I am by no means a professional, but I think the video might give others insight into what was causing a problem for me.

i think thats the same area my disco was leaking from, i havent tested it since doing the repair the other night.. i replaced all the orings and used plubing tape around the threads

Mike,  IMO...the seal is from the orings and if the plumbing tape gets in the air tube it could cause problems ?

i didnt wrap the tape anywhere near the end of the guage, guage adapter connections to avoid that.

Thanks all.  I have found for making seals with high pressure fittings such as the joint between the pressure gauge and reducer bushing on the marauder (the female socket part that gauge threads into and that ultimately threads into the port/gauge assembly) is to use this sealant... it is similar to what crosman uses on the joint from the factory, except it actually works:
