I've Just been offered a backpacker 1389 it's in well used condition and in need of a full refurb but I couldn't resist. It cost me $135 It's a lot but these are rare in the UK.I have not seen another so I had to. I will be greatfull for any help/advice you guys can give me. New pump and valve kits, seals etc bad picture of it here

Also bit of update on my 2200 I had to send the Canadian valve of to swop it for a new one. It's the law over here same with new barrels and the wonderful postal service over here lost it so I'm stuck for a while with that project.

$135!? That's a bit steep in price but, maybe that's the going rate in O'l Blighty? From the photo, it would probably fetch about $65 over here?
She's worn out alright, so, you will want to re-seal it and go through the valve for cleaning etc and all the usual re-furb items on a pumper. Also, check all the hinge pins for unusual or excessive wear including the holes that the the pins go through. As for the stocks, the pics make them look worn or with some white spots? You may want to use plastic spray paint & primer to fix those up, use a matte black and a matte clear coat over the top after it drys thoroughly.

Just to give you guys an idea a Crosman M4-177 in UK Will set you back $207 that's just for a rifle not the kit?. A Phantom that cost you $99 cost us $239 you guys have it easy. And you don't get stuck with 12 foot pounds power for a rifle and 6 foot pound for a pistol.

Ya, all that F.A.C. stuff and what have you in the UK is a sorry affair, our "Imperial Leader" and his gang over here would have it otherwise but... since we are 10's of millions strong, we don't have that worry just yet. Gotta stay vigilant though!
Gotta go, gotta take my $207 to Walmart and buy 5 of those M4177s! Sorry Mate, just had to rub e'r in one last time LOL!

Saade is that short for Saadist I know but our police still don't carry guns as standard so we must be doing something right over here.
