Does anyone know if this rifle shares the same powerplant with the Model 95? Velocity figures are the same according to the Hatsan website.

Thanks Mark, the reason I ask is because it weighs in @ 1 lb. lighter than the model 95. Interestingly, I read an article about a gas ram version of the model 60 put together by the Edgar Brothers over in the UK. That would be sweet, still I'd be happy with a springer.

I have done a few gas ram conversions on the Hatsan 60's and 70's. These were actually early 2000 year model Daisy's made by Hatsan. Custom fit one with XL ram and the others with NP rams.
Hatsan's powerplants vary somewhat from model to model. Not always same length pistons nor configuerations used, but tubes seem to be standard on the 1000 fps rated models.

Ok.. I have not held a 95... but looking at pics of them.. I would say yes it is the same action as the
new mod 55,60 with SAS & Quattro trigger.... the only noticeable diffrents is the saftey..
In fact it looks the same as the mod99 with a diffrent stock & no barrel lock ...
I have a mod 55 & mod 99 both SAS & Quattro versions...

I have always been a Hatsan fan...
Now the thing is yer need to compare them with other
guns in the same prise range...They are no Theoben/HW/Diana etc..
In my opinion Gamo/Crosman & the Chinaese mob don't come close
to Hatsan's exspectly the new Hatsan's.. But A hatsan will also benifit
from a tune... They are a production line gun with the same issues that
the others suffer from , ie.. burs / ill fitting tagged seals / poorly lubed..
but the basic build is very good... In fact they could be said to be over built
when compared to the others...

Seals... Mccari has seals for the mod 125 size tubes .. has it listed under Walther...
The smaller more comon tube with the 26.75 ID no one other than Hatsan
make them... I have made a few for guys over here.
I have a Taraluta spring in my mod 75 seems to be no power loss but
its a shorter spring with less coils so new gudes a needed...
there is a out fit that makes replacement drop in Hatsan / wincheaster springs.

Iam sure as these rifles probagate the market more after market parts will come on the market, seems like hatsan is about it mostly for now.

I have three Turkish Hatsans and a couple of Chinese guns (used to have lots of Chinese ones) and I have to say the overall quality of the Hatsans is much higher than the chinese ones generally but the engineering is way, way better. My Dominator is nearly as good as my AirArms TX200hc, for a lot less money.
