Hi guys, I'm new here and am wondering if there are any local places that sell nicer airguns? I'm in SE Michigan and the only air guns I've found are at Walmart, Meijer, Ganger Mtn, etc. I see a lot of cool airguns mentioned here but I don't know where to buy them and I don't know anyone who owns one. I've tried buying one online at Crosman's site and they would not ship to me in Michigan! Really?

Anyone know of a local source for buying or checking out airguns? I'm in St. Clair Shores, Michigan...

but recently I have not been as enthusiastic as I once was about it....BUT its the only high end outlet in Michigan...mainly the store is lined with racks...that hold rifles that call out to you .....hold me shoot me....then buy me

From your location the drive up to Dryden might be worthwhile if you are in the market for something Jim (Precision Airguns & Supply) has in stock. My two transactions with Jim have been very positive. You might take a look at the pictures on his web site as get a feel for what his shop is into. Good luck in your hunt for that special airgun...

ddavid welcome to the site. For some reasons crosman won,t ship to michigan. You can order from other sites an they will ship to you. Also walmart has alot of gun,s online that they don,t carry in the store an offer free shipping. IN michigan the gun has to be over 29 inches to be shipped. So pistol are hard to get shipped.

Welcome from another Michigander,, I too, found it both weird and frustrating, that no one will ship a air gun to Mi. I bought my Gamo at Dick's sporting goods in Grand Rapids. Getting ready to to the Super tune over the Christmas break. Already have the GTRIII installed.

Thanks for the tips guys. I bought a Nitro Venom and would like to see what else is out there. I'd like to check out something that is more accurate and perhaps more powerful but I don't know any air gunners yet. I hate buying stuff blindly online and like to buy the right thing the first time...I just don't know enough to know what that is yet.

you have hit a slippery slope at this point ...go out to Jims shoulder a few for fit and then see what route you want to go. Springers, PCP, hunters or target models.

Welcome! I live in southfield area and you are right, there is no where close that deals with the stuff you see here. I've had great dealings with Pyramid Air, The guys at Air Guns of Arizona are cool also. You also have the great people in the airgun world who are always looking to move on to something else and give a good deal. I've bought and sold a few on these forums and let me tell you ,IT'S VERY ADDICTIVE! GOODLUCK.

It's not just MI. I live in NY, and had a hard time finding a place that would ship me my M417. The only restrictions on NY is state law forbids shipping to NY City or it's burroughs.
I live at the base of the Adirondak mountains, three hours from NYC. They see that NY in the order and red flag it without looking at the zip code.
So I called about 30 stores and gun shops before finally finding one at Wallyworld.
It stinks but tis the way of the world I guess.
At least you found a place.

CyTactical , I live in upstate ny to. Pyramid air will ship you anything you want , never had a problem with any air gun companies shipping to me, bought from Summit also.

Did not try Pyramyd or Airgun Depot.
Crosman told my g/f they could not ship it. I did not have a credit or debit card at the time so was going to use her card. Maybe that was the issue, her card but shiping to me. I went ahead and got my own account now so maybe that will clear it up. I have had sharpened swords shipped to me so I don't know what the issue was. Only what I was told third party so to speak. I doubt my g/f would lie to me.
I wish there was an actual shop that dealed in air guns only, or a shop with a better selection then in my area so I could actally go in and look and feel before I buy.
