Webley Alecto Scope Mounting Problems

       I've got almost '69 year old eyes' and need a scope or Red Dot for my Webley-ALECTO air pistol in .22 Cal. I purchased a TASCO Model BKRD30 (package claims: 'Fits Weaver Style Base')..the scope mount has 2-sliding cross bolts.......when I tried to mount on the Alecto, 'no luck'....it looks like I would have to 'file a bunch of slots into the Alecto's rail' to accomadate the bolts in the Sight's mount, and I don't want to do that (I doubt my abililty to file the slots 'true'...and ruin the resale value of the gun)........I've been on line to a few of
the on-line dealers and can't find an adapter for this.....I've seen that some folks use a 'Walther PS22 Red Dot scope' with it's own 'odd' mount that utilizes the 'single slot' in the Alecto's rail, but I don't like that arrangement and the cost.....anyone have any ideas??

  I have 68 yr old eyes and I mounted a BSA R30 to my webley alecto Ultra. It comes with a 5/8 to3/8 adapter. Bolts right on no problem. May be you can return yours.
