There is a 34P Pro Compact for sale locally. The owner says he bought it a couple of years ago but it has been shot less than 20 times and is like new. It has a RWS 3-9X40AO scope. I have not seen it. Are these good guns and is there anything to watch out for? What is the going price for a used 34P PC?

yes there is count the lands on the barrel if its a 12 land barrel it was an outsourced barrel not made by Diana and has a very good chance of being totally useless as a barrel.
I have had two 12 lands in a row that shot VERY poorly
They have also GREATLY improved the triggers to a T06 trigger group and went back to the 8 land Diana barrels, the older Pro will have a T05 trigger as well....between the barrel and the newer trigger group its not worth it.
If its an older 8 land barrel some say they are even better than the latest version of 8 land barrels from Diana
34 Pros with the 12 land barrel are on closeout at $199 right now. I would avoid a 12 land one and pay alittle more and get a new 8 land T06 trigger Panther.
Don't believe the Diana CEO letter if you get a bad one nobody that represents Diana in the US will help rectify it and make you happy with a good shooting barrel. The spirit and tone of his letter is not honored by the US reps of Diana
