The screw, in my photo above, came on an HW35 that was tricked out at the old ARH. The nut has also been ground on two sides just like yours. Trouble is that the height of the threaded barrel part on mine was shorter than factory. Because of this, it took a bit of finagling to actually keep it in there while I started the screw. Had to come in from the front and hold it in place with a screw driver and then carefully nest the action in the stock and then start the screw. As you can see, in pic below, the nylon insert rides on the linkage with whatever pressure that the spring is pushing on it. However, it still has the notorious click that the older HW35s are known for. The only reason I left this setup is because I believe it may have been a Robert Law concept. Don't know that as fact though.
