I had to rebuild the C9a.
It was pumping well but, it was leaking air.
I bought the kit from Alliance Hobby.
Easy Peasy except I couldn’t find my punches so I had to improvise.
I also found out you should complete installation of the valve before installing the pump arm with cup (it will push the valve further into the chamber..).
Under the pump cup there was quite a bit of rust I suspect from the heat from compressing the air.
I cleaned that up and doused the area with silicone oil before putting on the new cup.
I tested the C9a today.
At four pumps the rifle shoots just like it was new.
At 8 pumps I gained 8-9fps using 14.3 grain pellets 14.1fpe.
I am happy with the rebuild.
Turning 80 in August so this rebuild should last me..

Nice work! It shoots a bit harder than mine.
It's always good to see Sheridans stay in service. They're built to last many generations.
Cheers,
J~
