Unavailability of Marauder Field & Target

   Does anyone know what is going on with the unavailability of the Marauder Field & Target?  All the dealers have been showing out of stock, check back later for months now.  I have been on a notification of when they are in stock, but no updates.

I acknowledge that I have somewhat limited experience with PCP's ( I have owned an AEA SF, currently own an Avenger and Marauder P-rod), but wanted a consistent 50 yd shooter that I didn't have to get into a lot of tuning. (been there and done that with the Avenger).  I am looking for accuracy more than power. The Marauder Field & Target reviews and videos all seem to be quite positive for a gun under $ 1,000.  I called Crosman support, and the lady didn't even seem familiar with the Field & Target model.  She said the only listing on her computer was for a "Regulated" model.  I called Pyramid, and the rep said that they were still expecting an order of the Field & Targets, but was not clear if they would just be called "Regulated" instead of Field & Targets. She indicated there had been some interaction/dealings between Crosman and Daisy, and that might be the holdup on receiving product.  If anyone has a recommendation for an alternative, I would certainly take a look at it.

Sure you will get suggestions on different airguns as well as more of the “why would you want that?” comments.

If it’s something you have researched and feel like it’s going to meet your needs, then I say go for it, if it becomes available.

I have had 4 Marauder rifles. I sold one when I was going through chemo therapy.
I have 2 Field and Target regulated rifles in 177 caliber, and one 25 caliber Marauder.
All have regulators.
You can add a regulator to any Marauder.  I changed the oem regulator on my first Field and Target to an Altaros regulator; it didn't seem to make much difference. The Crosman regulator is a very fast acting regulator whereas the Altaros takes a second or three to recharge the plenum.  The oem regulator was set to 2050 PSI, but I set the Altaros to 1500 PSI. The plenum with the Altaros is about 15 or 16CC, the OEM regulator only has the volume inside the valve.
I did see the FT M-Rods on Pyramyd Air a few days ago.
Crosman was  recently bought out by Gamo / Daisy so things may be a bit crazy right now.

Have to agree.  Not only what he said but it’s also way over priced for what you would get.

Crosman added a reg as a me too thing.

I second the Airgun Revisions suggestion. I bought a Mrod Walther 22 for $300. It’s an excellent unregulated rifle.

If you don’t like the Avenger, a factory regulated Crosman is not the answer in my opinion.

The second day after my initial post, it now appears that the Field & Targets are now available at most dealers.  I appreciate the replies, but now has me second guessing and considering the Airgun Revisions tuned model.  I had looked at them before, but could not find any full reviews of anyone who had purchased one.  I know Revisions has a very good reputation, but it would be nice to see a review or hear from someone who has actually owned one and had a history of its performance.  Since it is still Feb and 12 degrees in Ohio, I still have some time for a little more research.
