Crosman 108 on Ebay for $799 "Airgun Inflation or AI"

If someone really wants a T&C the guy is only asking $799.  Now being serious Airgun Blue Book 13th ed. (ABB13) prices this gun at $500 in 100% condition.  To me the price seem crazy high but maybe somebody else thinks that is reasonable.

Please share your opinions about prices. . . . . .is it just me?

Is the problem my own experiences because I am tight-wad according to my wife . . . Haha .  Or I bought so many Crosmans when I was younger say 50 years ago for $25.  Even recently I have bought Crosmans for reasonable prices such as a 114 for $37.  The rifle needed some TLC but I enjoy restoring them.  Also bought a Daisy Model 25 6th Variant 1932 production it was $37 too.  Condition is NRA 60% as per ABB value is $135, I need to replace the seals.
Another buy for Guunbroker = Crosman 38C in 98% condition no box and a slow leak $55.

I own a few airguns already so "Airgun Inflation" so AI helps me.  But I feel the high cost is not good for our sport,  it may discourage some new members from joining our airgunning or collector community.  Hope to meet more of you, guys at the Baldwinville show at the end of the month.  The big shows are always a great change to buy, sell or find special item you need.  At the Mid-PA show I purchased a Healthways CO2 Western air pistol with box from another member Don aka "Old Air" for $73 ABB13 95% price is $150.  To me it was a great deal because it completed my Healthways collection.

I had one for sale at the 2 airgun shows I attended this year for $800 and it didn’t sell.  Have to assume it was too high.  Think $600 might be about right for a very good 108, they are not an easy find.  I have had a hard time finding any real bargains lately. Sold 8 guns at airgun shows this year and I priced them pretty low to move them?   Generally I see a lot of crazy prices out there but not sure they are selling?

They really are the poor mans Supergrade.  All brass best pumper Crosman made.
