You guys know so much but this might be a challenge. Does anyone know about how they do production? These are all 781 receivers in colors of plastic that I don't think ever was produced. They just used black. Wonder why Crosman would do this? Just a nice curiosity. Anybody have any insight?

I would think it was a marketing idea that never got off the ground?

They might sound like a lot of work till you realize you only need 3-4 pumps for plinking.

I have no clue, but the colors seem like odd choices.
The gold and silver I get, but the red white and yellow ones I don't really get.
They had to be for something specific, unless there were other colors like blue and green.

These look like they came out of the R&D department. I have seen Daisy guns that were different colors that were never produced. Years ago Bob Spielvogel had quite a few Sheridan pistols that came out of the factory in Racine in different finishes and colors that were never produced. Just the R&D departments trying new ideals.
