permatex?

is permatex ultra synthetic brake caliper grease a good choice of lube?.....it is 100 percent synthetic...and i think its got moly. so what do you think?.

its a dark green grease.

As in for pivot joints?  I guess.  But not for springs.  If you get a lubes kit from JM it will last you a long time.

Anyone care to comment on what lubes work best in hot climates?  I believe he is in Hawaii.  Does get hot there on occasion.

the piston. behind the seal.  its a gas ram..i polished the piston super slick. then applied this grease. thats were i wanted it. it seems ok. im tinkering around to see what works and what dont. but i have not a clue what im doing. i already messed up by over polishing the tube. i got stupid and polished it as well. my bad. but ed said to go back in with a hone and use a oversized seal.......that i can fix. i read the msds sheet on the ultra and it says flashpoint of 500 degrees .f..i sure can mess things up..but.its just a test rifle.....i figure ill learn by my mistakes on this one. but im for certain ill need to call macari company. hes got a oversized seal. i need it.

You certainly don't want to use silicone grease on the piston as a lube. Also, you should never polish the piston. How would you expect it to have the lube adhere to it??? It all all just fly loose freely to the cylinder wall, migrate to and around and past the piston seal and cause detonation.

yes white fang....but i prefer pipefitter but super steam tubes go big boom........fun to here em go pop..overtime pay i loved it.

. charlie i got a new seal today scuffed it as you advised and put it back together....it should be good to go.....but it got dark and sight i tommorro.......thanks for your expertise cdt...
