We’ve all seen, if not bought, co2 plinker pistols. I’m thinking of the SA10 or T4E series, a magazine fed plinker that holds both the co2 cartridges and the bb’s/pellets in the same drop in magazine. Well the actions on these pistols are usually meant for 800psi, give or take, since that’s the given power of co2 right?
Could you have a PCP pistol in the same format?
A drop in precharged and preloaded magazine that’s pressurized to 800- 1,500PSI and meant to spit 177’s faster than mosquito farts.
The magazines would be expensive, but they’d only need 25cc or so to get a 10 shot magazine cycled through. Call it six shots in .22 cal to prevent massive drop off since I doubt you’d be regulating this.
It wouldn’t necessarily need blowback, I’m not sure how the extra force would make that slide operate. It would be nifty tho.
Had the thought, figured I’d bring it to ya’ll.

Would it be worth the expence for so few shots from each refill. There is a Navy Colt revolver replica that one refills the cartriges with one stroke of a hand pump. How much air could you pump into a tank the size of a magazine or co2 cart.
They don't look as cool as a full size drop out mag, but the advantage of a stick mag is one can shoot three or four mags and be left with one about empty co2 cart. Shoot three or four full size mags and you're left with three or four half or more full co2 carts.

First, CO2 to HPA conversions are not something that I'm overly familiar with. I have looked into them somewhat, but have no hands on experience with them. I'm sure others more knowledgeable than myself will be along to give their insights...
There are CO2 to HPA adapters out there although you may need to have a line tethered, as a 12g cartridge wouldn't supply enough air for more than a few shots. Probably best (safest) to limit the pressure to 1100psi, beyond that bad things might happen eventually, possibly blown seals if you're lucky or something coming loose at high speed if you're not. That's if you don't encounter valve lock first. I believe most CO2 guns are designed to operate between 800-ish to 1100psi, best to stay within those limits. If you do a search for 12g CO2 to HPA adapters there are a few that come up, I think they just have a special cartridge that acts as a quick fill adapter (needing a feed line & pressure vessel) rather than a stand alone pressure vessel, not exactly what you're looking for. I do like the idea, but I don't believe anything has been made up that's safe and reliable to convert a 12g CO2 pistol to an un-tethered pcp gun. I could be mistaken.
I type slow, Leftyeyeshot posted before myself, Lol.
