Marksman Repeater Slide Latch

A friend dropped off an old, all metal Marksman Repeater in pieces.....
I have found how to rrassemble, well almost.

The slide latck doesn't seel to have any visible means of keeping it in the receiver.
The pivot end had a hole that is tapered at its entry point, but I see no thereads inside the hole to indicate that there was ever a screw there.
The edge of the pivot lookes rough.......

This slide does not appear on any diagrams I have found.
It is a necessary component as the slide will not latched in the closed position in order to fire this beast.

Any knowledge will be appreciated...

Yup.
Thanks, tho.

The slide catch on the left side apparently is not intended to be removed.
It had enough of a bub sticking in past the receiver inside for me to press on a close fitting collar and JB Weld it into place.

Back together now and working to the best of its meager ability..........
