Simmons Scopes: Springer Safe?

So I have a Simmons .22 Mag scope on my .22lr, its a Simmons 3-9x32 non AO. I wanted to put it onto my Crosman G1 Extreme so I would have a decent scope on it until I get my Leapers scope at Christmas. I didn't want to take the chance of the scope not being springer rated, so does anyone know if it is?

Well, I did some research, and I found this on another airgun forum.
"Doesn't mean it isn't...a call to the manufacturer's service dept. can reveal a lot more than you expect. Years ago when I talked to Weaver and Simmons service departments, they told me "all our scopes can be put on an Airgun/springer" and/or "if it fails, just send it in, we're not
Gonna ask you if it was on a springer or not, we will either fix the broken scope or replace it!""

No doubt! It's only going to be on temporarily until I get Leapers Accushot 4-16x56 scope!
I'm a bit excited for the scope. :p

That's really no guarantee. Sometimes the people at these places know nada about springers. I would only put an airgun-rated Simmons on that gun. The little 22MAG is a nice scope, particularly the early models. If you plan to remount it on your rimfire, you might want to pick up a cheap Powerline 3x9. Of course, it's up to you.

According to some reading I have done, Bushnell is the only company whose scopes are pretty much all springer-rated. Of course, it's hard to know who and what to believe.

Some Simmons scopes are springer rated. I believe the White tail classics and the 44 mag scope but they are recommended for low-medium powered springers with less
Recoil. The decision is yours but personally I wouldn't with a 22 mag
