C362 went back to the workbench

Betty Lou and I have several matching pairs of airguns that we shoot together. When we got the C362 twins I converted both to .177 with steel breeches. Mine got a chopped and crowned short barrel that ended 1/4" beyond the barrel band and her's was chopped and crowned to basically match the stock barrel length.
She never really shot her's much for no specific reason, she just hasn't. So I asked if she cared that I tinker with it some more. She gave me the green light.

Yesterday I was looking through the many boxes and drawers of spares for bits to resurrect a rear cocking 1377 and I spotted the take off .22 barrel from one of the C362s. I had thought I already used both on other guns but there it was, all shiny and new. I was also lucky enough to find a new Magnum Air .22 bolt with an oring still in the zip loc bag. Also a small bag that had a few torq screws for the breech. Apparently I received these after the .177 conversions because this gun still had a stock screw in it and those things strip so easy.
So I had all the ingredients to convert the gun back to .22.
Heck, if she ain't gonna shot it and I already have one in .177, why not a .22?

My shorty .177 didn't leave any room on the end of the barrel for a moderator. No matter, I enjoy loud and proud guns. Betty Lou's .177 sported a BR moderator. Shout out to BR, those things work great. And the prices are very affordable. I decided to use it on the .22. No need for a front sight on this one, it will be scoped. Mine has the option, scoped or Ruger 1022 flip up peep. I just used an extended barrel band grub screw for the front sight.

Anyways.... a tinker here and a putter there and in a very short time it was back together in .22.
Clack, clack, clack... why didn't I address this the first time? So annoying. No wonder she didn't shoot it much.   
A few hunks of the fuzzy side of velcro took care of that nonsense. Now to the shooting bench.

Because it's the same scope that was on it before, it only took a click or 2 to get back on the bulls... surprisingly with those Crosman 13.x pellets that came with the guns originally. Not many other guns I have shoot those pellets real well. Probably why I still have both tins of them.
Just remembered something else that I noticed when I shot it... the trigger is so light and crisp. I'll have to look back at my notes but I think I used one of the sample triggers that TKO sent me and a lighter spring. The first shot went off faster than I expected.
Looks like it's going to be another great 35yd. and under shooter with 5 - 7 pumps.

 Yes Bill you did put a TKO trigger in it, I have 2 with his trigger world of difference.

He actually sent me 3 of them and 2 of them just broke into pieces like they were too brittle or something. Admittedly he said they were just prototype and he intended to redesign them for better durability. This one in Betty Lou's gun has had very little use and may also bust. But man, you're right, a world of difference. I have to look what I have in my 362. I can't remember if I modified a Baker trigger or put the stock trigger back in it.
I was out in the Red Shed this morning going back and forth between Betty Lou's c362 and that rear cocking Crosman pistol I just put back together at 9 meters. That's as far as I can get without opening a roll up door.

Back to the workbench again...

I didn't like the .22 results after shooting it awhile. So I broke out the hack saw and grinding tools.
I cut and crowned a .177 barrel to match the same length as mine. 1/4" past the front barrel band.
No way to put a moderator on but, once again, I'm not much of a quiet gun kinda guy. I like to hear the report of the guns I shoot. But I don't have neighbors to complain.
I really like the way these guns look without a barrel sticking out the front end past the tube. Gives them that Sheridan Streak look.

Can we see some pictures. I really enjoy seeing the work you guys do to these things. I have had that barrel band front sight post idea for years! I would love to see your builds. This place just ends up costs me money!!

 Bill I recently did your rear 1022 flip up sight install on my .22 2240 stubby, I used a scrap piece of high tensile strength fence wire, it was a very snug fit, and as hard as drill rod almost.

I'm going to put the 1022 peep back on Betty Lou's gun today. I also need to add the extended front sight to her's.
