Tighter Barrel for Mod 25 on eBay ?

There's a guy on eBay selling custom tighter barrels for a model  25 -- a stainless version and a blue version. Was wondering if any of you have tried any one of those barrels and did it increase accuracy and velocity.

Do you have a link to them?  I would be interested in a tighter barrel for accuracy and if velocity is better as I byproduct then great.  There is a guy on eBay that sells carbon fiber barrels that are tighter.

Yes.  They are a smooth bore BB gun.

They arrive next week.  I will try and get out the chrono and compare velocity and do some accuracy testing.  The problem is I am about to be out of town a bunch so bear with me.

Wanted to follow back up on this.  I have two model 25’s I bought new about a year ago.  I numbered them rifle 1 and 2.  I never chrono’ed either of them but rifle 1 always seemed to shoot harder than rifle 2.  Today I chrono’ed them with Crosman Copperhead BBs.  Rifle 1 was in the 305-315fps range.  Rifle 2 was in the 274-283fps range.  I installed the new barrels in both.  Rifle 1 is now in the 330-345fps range.  Rifle 2 is now in the 305-315fps range.  So the barrel did increase the fps by around 30-40fps.  I did not have time or test accuracy which was my primary reason for getting the tighter barrels.  Word of caution.  The copperhead BBs fit fine in the barrel.  I have some silver Daisy BBs (not the match BBs) that would not go into the barrel.  I did not measure the ID of the new barrel or the old barrel but the new barrel looked to be a smaller ID.

My 25 is very accurate @ 25 feet using the avanti BB’s…only thing Ive done is open the peep…..good luck

Mine is surprisingly accurate at 10 meters with the Daisy Precision Max BBs. I need to open that peep. For now I'm just using the notch.
I think shooting my model 25 and this new BB Gun Gate is going to inspire me to break out some of my older Red Ryders and other BB guns.

Be nice if some of the older shooters on all the gates find this bb gate and get reacquainted with their inner child like some of us already have.

I'm tired of the newest flavor of the month PCP the chase and turmoil took the fun out of it for me.
