97k in .20 value on the open market (price check)

Hello German air rifle enthusiastic folks.
It's been a 100 years since I took out my 97k in .20 and need to make some room in my safe. To be honest I have a few rifles that need to go, but thought I would start with this one. My only . 20.
I used to be pretty active here in the classified section here, but life has a way of getting in the way of a good time.

I'd like to list it for a fair price, it wasn't cheap when I got it.

What say you, oh knowledgeable air rifle folks?


If this is breaking some rule just let me know.

Well it depends......
How old, what condition, any tuning done to it?
Ball Park, $300-500 maybe more may be less....

Too bad that the 97K .20 cal is just one little number away from what I want: I need the open sights, so no 97's for me.

55% of retail value is a good starting point in pricing (guns actually move with it, IME), given that the gun is in fine, working condition. Since basic 97's fetch around 300 second-hand, I wouldn't let a .20 cal go quite for that.

Lots of factors can figure into your asking price. Older models not of the ‘newer’ style stocks would fetch a bit more in my opinion. Especially if in excellent to pristine condition. It really comes down to how badly a buyer wants your gun. If your gun has been tuned with a kit, and the quality of the tune enhancing the overall performance should factor into keeping the rifle at a top dollar price range. Adding all original OEM parts into the sale is a nice gesture.  One last caution I would mention is that some folks might want to degrade your asking price due to the caliber and lack of pellet selection. I wouldn’t consider that a viable argument because most pellets of the past were kind of gimmicky imho. I like that there are still round head or domed pellets available, and they are the most accurate in most pellet guns anyways.

I knew the master was still around.

Have put maybe, 1000 jsb through it. Zero mods, never opened or messed with. (I think) I got it in 09'. For sure BNIB from Pyramid Air

Will dig it out of the safe later and post some pics
It's been so long I have no idea what these things go for or where to go about listing them.
Have a few that will never leave me, but this thing can probably go.
