Is that bug buster scope leapers brand? If so it is warranty and you can have it replaced. Nice looking gun by the way, never been much of a synthetic guy but that is a nice looking Weihrauch.

Yes it sure looks pretty good for a synthetic, i need to test the scope with another mount to see if it works, the fx mount is not for springers, i did have trouble with it before but i could have used the same mount then and not remember it was so, i have had the scope for many years, don't even know where i bought it...

Chrono nr: Jsb exact rs 7.33gr, 0.475g: 196-199 m/s around 9 joule. 643-653 ft/s, around 6.6 ft/lbs the gun has changed it's preferd pellets from H/N Field target trophy to Jsb exact rs

Was some wind but did some shooting anyway, at 25 meters and 40, JSB RS 7.33gr, there are 6 shots at the papertarget that i shot at 25 meters, one pellet went south for some reason,was the 3 shot so i took 2 more that got in the same hole as the others, then 10 shots at 40 meters, pretty pleased with that result also, unfortunatly i ran out of the rs but got some Jsb 8.44 so used them instead but they where not as accurate as the rs, atleast at 25 meters, at 40 the grouped the same...

I bought my first HW 30s just 8 years ago. I liked it so much that I bought another for my daughter. I'm an old timer, but fairly new to airguns. Based on this limited experience, I think you've found your pellet for your new HW 30. I tried many, many pellets in both of mine. I dont have an exact count, but I bet I went through 20 to 25 different pellets before I tried JSB 8.44 gr and JSB 7.33 gr. In my experience, the 7.33 shoots tighter groups than the 8.44 gr. This is also true of my daughters HW 30s. They are just very happy with 7.33 grain JSB pellets! Now, there may be a brand/weight of pellet that I havent tried. However, I remember packing and shipping the "surplus" of partial tins to a guy in Hawaii, and have been content shooting 7.33 grain JSB ever since.

Just this morning I got my HW 30s back together after installing a Vortek kit. I set up at 15 yards, and did some shooting. The first two pellets definetley did not group. The next 12, (JSB 8.44), went into a group measuring 0.38" CTC. Then I settled down and shot a 5-shot group, (JSB 7.33), the measured 0.13" CTC. I smiled, and put my pet toy away to rest for the day!

That's great Joe! The 8.44 fits alot looser in the breech than the 7.33 in my Hw30 and it's a difference in sound between them when i shoot them

No they are the same lenght

That being the case, I would like to have one.
As far as pellets go, my R7 likes the JSB 7.33 best also.

Something is wrong with her, can't hold zero, groups get wider and some pellets fly way of, shot some crono and the numbers are good, between 200-201 m/s with JSB rs 7.33gr so nothing wrong there, do you think i need to make a plastic sleeve for the spring? I was wondering if the spring is jumping around and causing the inacurasy? If the seals where bad then the velocity would not be so good would it? I changed the scope to the one i have on the 20 cal but it's the same, and changed pellets and that did not do any difference, i should also mention that i havent shot more than 2-300 pellets so it's not broken in yet

Finaly she arrived, my new hw30s synthetic, brand new gun that i havent seen so much info about, only read about it at a english forum last week and found out they just been released so ordered one in .177, gonna do some crono shooting to find out what power she got, very nice to handle and feels realy light, weigh 2.690kg, don't know what the wooden version weighs, but this feels lighter, but it could be the scopeweight added to my wooden one that make it feel heavier. I think this must be one of the best pesting gun avaliable, easy to cary, short, not so loud, and hopefuly accurate as my other, have not decide wich scope i will use, i have some laying around so gonna try them to see, but first i will clean her from the factory gunk. Laid my wooden version over the synthetic so you can see the difference, will post some targets as soon i can shoot her.

Jörgen, from the pictures of you posted of your HW30’s, it appears that the synthetic stocked 30 has a good deal longer LOP. How has this effected your shooting. Bench, off hand, etc. Nice looking guns!
