Missed a few rats due to POI shift in my HW100

I should have checked my zero before I shoot that night. I had assumed my HW100 was spot on as usual, but my POI had shifted to the left and high. No ideal how or why, but it was. Subsequently I missed a few rats that I shouldn't have. I guess I need to be more prepared and give myself more time to setup before doing a shoot.

Nevertheless, I was still able to tag a few rats.

I have been watching your videos for some time and enjoy them. It seems on a number of occasions you have had poi shifts. I am a hunter exclusively myself and poi shifts are detrimental to the outcome, which led me down the search for a truly hunting built platform. I landed on the American air arms Evol and I'm here to tell you, if your tired of poi shifts or really changes/failures of any kind then the Evol is for you. There are no adjustments to get out of whack, barrel is tensioned and threaded into reciever and it loves 18.13 pellets and slugs. It replaced all my fx guns as my go to hunting/pesting platform. Just passing on some options from one hunter to another, keep up the good content!

@Bladebum.  Thank you for your support.  I think I have figured out why my POI was shifting.  There was a bit of movement on the barrel as I turned it with my hand.  I tightened the one scrub screw that holds the barrel in place, a design of the HW100.  I was surprised the barrel didn't come loose more often with that one screw pin-hold.  I guess time will tell on my next outings.

My HW100 has been very consistent and accurate to my needs.  Sounds like the Evol that you have is a great platform.  I have never shot one before.  Glad it is working out for you.  Cheers.

PS.  I am still painfully trying to stalk my coyote#7 at the pigeons farm.  I captured lots of trail cam footages of it coming and taking the baits that I left behind.  It would come regularly at a set time lets say 2am-3am, but then would change again and showed up 9:30pm or 4am.  Very irregular time patterns making it impossible for me to time it right.  So far I have ran into this coyote after I had sat there for 4 hours and saw it with my headlights as I had packed up and leaving.  My last outing just this past Sunday, it was there at 2am according to my trail cam footage and I was there 2:30am to set up.  I chose this time slot because the recent sightings was between 3am and 5am.  I guess last Sunday it was watching me from nearby as I pulled in and parked.

I have been trying to get this one since April.  Hopefully I can tag it soon or I would go nuts, lol.
