Brand New Daisy Red Ryder Wood Stock Imperfections?

I've finally purchased a Red Ryder & Model 25 after wanting them for awhile. The Wood stocks both arrived with small imperfections, little gouges in the wood/small dings. I know these are really inexpensive and am not expecting 100% cosmetic perfection. Just curious if this happened to anyone else. BTW, They both shoot great.

Yeah Ive got 2 Adult RR (1 with a red dot lol) and a Model 25 with a ARR stock on it…all had little cosmetic issues……to be honest I wasnt surprised given the lack of quality we get now a days…..if u dont leave them stock consider a 1999 fiber optic front sight for the ARR and an adult RR stock for the 25 make good shooters even better….…good luck

I appreciate your experience. It is more of an annoyance than anything else as I am very conscious of proper maintenance and would prefer to distress the gun myself. Again, they shoot great and my OCD is probably flared up. Thanks Again.

I suppose it's the nature of things mass produced in China (or anywhere for that matter at this price point).

I have two red ryders. I removed and sanded the stocks on one of them, then stained with a walnut stain and two coats of polyurethane. Looks custom and nice.

there are places online to buy replacement stocks, but you should not have to replace a stock on a new air gun purchase.

I haven't had any with imperfections yet.
I've bought 3 105's, 6 RR's, and a model 25.
At least I didn't notice any imperfections anyways.

The stock on my recent purchase red ryder looked vey blotchy. I removed the stock and forearm then used citrus strip to remove the old finish then restained with walnut gel stain.
