BSA R-10

Has anyone had any dealings with the BSA pcp rifles? I am looking at the R10 in 22cal.. I just like the looks a a wooden stock gun. It is just so expensive to get into these air rifles..

I have Scorpion SE. The same action as R10 (apart from hammer/spring I believe) without the bottle and regulator. A very nice gun as it is now. I adjusted the trigger and had to shim the stock a bit. As it is now it's good enough for 10M matches. It seems that there has been some issues with Minelli stocks. Another option you might want to consider is Air Arms S410/510, as PCPs go they are older technology but they are liked by many. If you get R10 make sure you get Mk2, Mk1s had problems with regulators.

I have an R10 in .22 and a SuperTEN as well. If you can get the Mk2 I would go for it. BSA has made some changes to the magazine system that are going to help this gun last a lifetime. Mine has been issue free. I have the Mk 1. I have had no problems with the regulator or the stock. The R10 is a very nice gun and performs very well.

Thanks for the info guys... I was just wanting a nice gun to hunt with, but I def want a .22cal... I see all the videos of hunting with nice guns & got my courage up a lil... I don't really know what all is needed for the pcp guns. What is the cheapest route to go on a tank set-up? Also, do you have to be certified to get it filled?

No certification required for getting a tank filled.  *Edit*  be sure to tell them its for an air gun  Many different ways to go. I would allot $400 for filling equipment and you will have several options. Nice thing is you will use the same filling equipment for other pcp's you acquire. Tanks may/ will need be replaced years down the road.
