Crosman 102 with vintage Lyman Scope

I've been into vintage 22's for a while and have been getting more and more into older air rifles. I've been into scopes also and I have more than my fair share of them.
I picked up this Crosman 102 (22 caliber pump up repeater) a while ago and replaced the pump cup and have been shooting it with the peep sight for a while. The iron sights are cool, but I'm more accurate with a scope and I usually like to scope my guns and try to keep them "looking" period correct at the same time. I have some "newer" scopes that would be fine for this gun, but the combination of the two would look odd (to me) and those scopes would look better on a "newer" gun.
I have an old Lyman 22 Expert scope (4 power, external adjust, see under for iron sights) that's been in my scope collection for a while and I thought this would look the part on the 102. I thought about it for a while and then came up with this.
I made the mounts that clamp on the barrel out of aluminum ( 2 piece clamp style) that have a top and bottom that clamp together onto the barrel. The top halves are drilled/threaded for the Lyman mount and it works fine. It was sighted in at 20 yards and actually shoots pretty good. The mounts are prototypes ( just made to see if it would actually work) and will be remade and refined to look less bulky (and painted).
Anyhow this is what I came up with.

Very nice! I like old scopes on old guns too. I like the way your mount clamps vertically, a more conventional lateral clamp can hardly be used in that position on a 102, the magazine tube being in the way.

That looks great and "natural".
These 102's are fantastic guns. I can't believe how good the magazine system works. I use JSB 14.35 gr, cycles perfectly.

Thanks for the compliments.
I haven't used many different style pellets in it, because I don't want a jam up.
Mostly been using Crosman copperhead pellets and they seem to work fine but I will be trying others in the near future.
