Really "enjoying" shooting my new H-E-Pro rifle. Enjoying everything except that 45 lb+ cocking effort! This thing is a bear to cock, anyone thinking about buying one better get your arms tuned up a bit if you plan on any extended shooting sessions with this rifle. But on to the relative subject of my post, and that is:
The trigger
The pull and actual "break" of the trigger is not bad on mine, this after installation of a slightly longer adjustment screw to tune the 2nd stage pull,
. BUT- I'm wondering if anyone has installed CDT's GRT-4G in their Pro, and if it really is a significant improvement over the standard CAT trigger.
Anyone that has done so on the Pro, or on any CAT trigger equipped Gamo, please opine on whether you think this really is a worthy addition over a tweaked/adjusted CAT trigger. I'm kinda "on the fence" about ordering and installing the CDT trigger in my Pro, as she is pretty decent as is. But like the rest of us here in GTA, I'm always looking for any improvement!

I have the CDT4G trigger for my extreme pro, but with the longer screw, Im satisfied. Was 4.5lbs,now 1.5lbs. I dont want to install the CDT trigger quite yet. Now if I find a source for a spare piston seal & gas ram, the CDT trigger will go in immediately.
I did install a CDT3 trigger in my Daisy1000(Gamo) last week & its awesome! The stock trigger was 3.6lbs & felt terrible. Its now at 2lbs, just the way it came- without any adjustments.
I believe these guns' cocking effort is under-rated @45 lbs. Feels more in the 50's!

I've put them in just about every rifle that Gamo makes and they are a great improvement that converts the CAT trigger into a real two stage adjustable trigger that you can take down to under 2lb pull weight without safety issues.
HPP, Custom Air Seals of Australia has replacement gas rams and seals.
The last one I tuned we ended up clipping a few coils off of the spring to make the cocking effort more manageable and the shot cycle smoother.

Even tho I'm new and just got mine I'm probably gonna order one for my rifle once I put in Air Detective's screw kit. Just gotta decide on an acceptable close-in budget scope. May pic up the Sniper MT 3-12x33. Has better eye relief and the mount once reversed should get me in a lot more comfy position. A lot different than killing hogs with my .308 and 6.5 Grendel...

Well my opinion differs.
I have two Gamos with CDT triggers. They replaced the pre SAT triggers and they were without doubt worthwhile improvements. I also have three SAT triggers guns and have no intention of changing them. Mind out that I do not like very light triggers and two stage isn't important to me. I like triggers to be firm of pressure.
GRT triggers are cheap in the USA and easy to install so why not try one.

I install GRT-4G TRIGGER on Gamo Hunter Extreme Ultimate .25 I super polish all the friction contact points and I apply super light thin coat of grease. Result over 80% smoother, over 50% lighter trigger pull and increase accurate whole lot.
