About 18 months ago a friend of mine who is an avid .22 lr shooter went to an auction and bought an old HW35 . Well used and worn . He turned up at the club and said,, that is yours, you owe me $200." I PAID UP. I cleaned all the old grease and dirt out of it. It chrony'd 640 fps just as the specs said Three days ago I needed some retail therapy so I went to the Gun shop and bought a no name 4 x 40 scope $80nz on the box is the name Stealth but nowhere else and no sign of where it was made Cheapy but it had a 10 year warranty so I bought it.. The scope I put on the HW 35 not that clear and not that good at light gathering but
definitely usable The Gun has a thumb hole stock that is a bit small for my hand it has the irksome automatic safety and a barrel latch that complicates loading nevertheless I am very pleased at how it all turned outa. An accurate little pinker that I would never take rabbiting very easy to cock as it has a 20 inch barrel. You just can't get past the quality construction
A happy Gun.

Nice. Of course one of the features of the HW35 is that with the latch it can be opened and closed very quietly so you don’t scare off the rabbits. Or squirrels. And also locks the breech at the same place every time to help accuracy. If that’s a factory thumbhole stock it’s a fairly uncommon gun. Does yours have a leather seal or are you power limited there? My 2018 HW35E is just under 13 FPE with AA/JSB 7.33. Love to see a picture of yours.

Oops, wrong gun. Had the AA pellets for my Winchester 435/Diana 35 sitting here and brain farted. AA 8.4 gr in the HW35E.
