Got an itch to pick up a Seneca Dragonfly mk II. Already have a bunch of the mags I use for my Diana Chaser.
Anyone got any feedback on em?
Or a better option for $200?
Not looking for a project, already got an old Benjamin and a few Crosman vintage pumpers needing some TLC.
Just want something decent right out of the box.

Here is what we discovered on GTA
Happy with mine in .22, Did have an issue with the trigger adjustment screw backing out, but was a simple fix with some Vibra-Tite added to keep it where I set it.

Although I have not been able to use it as much as I would like due to a recent bout with shingles on my right hand and arm, I am happy with what I have seen from mine. It's a .177 and the CRAM mags I have work very well in it. Easy to load and smooth cycle.

Ive shot 600-700 pellets thru mine, and it shoots great. It has many PCP qualities- quiet, powerful, variable power, no recoil, accurate, etc. but without the baggage of regulators & pumps. You mention that you dont want a project gun, but know this... The Dragonfly2 is a brilliant gun, but the screws will loosen-up, triggers are a &^^&-shoot, you might get a good one or not. Its one of my favorite guns, but Im a cronic tinkerer, and cant leave anything alone.

Great gun. Transfer port burrs are common and fixable as well as ignorable. I shoot my dragonfly as much if not more than any other gun. It just sits there in the basement waiting for a couple shots at 50 feet. every time I go down there I seem to get dragonfly distracted from the task at hand. Mine loves daisy lead free wadcutters at 1 and 2 pumps, ftt greens at 2 3 and 4 pumps, and baracuda extremes at 4 and 5 pumps lately. All .177. Mki.

I ordered one of these on Friday. I really like that the magazines will be the same as my Stormrider, and being threaded is nice too.
A short moderator will quiet the bark from 10 plus pumps.
If I like the Dragonfly well enough I might sell my old Sheridan.
it would be nice to just concentrate on one caliber of ammo (.22) and be done with the .20 cal.

I wasn't sold on the MKII at first. It seemed a bit too gimickly to me. But I caved and gave one a try. I'm glad I did and the option of using the CARM mags made it even better. But, there ain't no way in the World I would give up any of my 'Dans' for one.... NO WAY !!

I just tried to order one of the CARM magazines along with one of their swing out single shot loaders.
First it only allowed me a list of cities in Croatia to choose from for my address despite being able to choose USA for the country.
I emptied the cart and started over and I was then allowed to put in my whole address but only city and zip code, not the state.
Twice the final authorization was going thru then it said can't complete. Maybe my bank is blocking the transaction because of the foreign country ?

Sorry, can't help. I bought my set of 2 .177 mags and the single shot mag on the classifieds from another member.

It turns out my bank had blocked the card transaction because of the Eastern Europe location.
I called them and told them to let the transaction go through, and yesterday the order for two magazines and a single shot loader proceeded O.K.
Sounds like it takes a good 3 weeks for the shipping of the mags.
My Dragonfly should be here later today ! I have the 3-12x Bugbuster to try on for accuracy tests. I might look into a peep down the road, still not sure how I'll like even a small scope on a multi pumper.

I think you'll be happy with the CARM mags, ordered a few when I got my Diana Chaser and liked so much I ordered a few more. One less pellet capacity but MUCH easier to load. Shipping was quick both times. Int'l Post tracking will only show you when it's dropped off at the post office in Croatia til it gets to NYC. Then it'll sit there for a while.
I've had a chance to run some pellets thru the Dragonfly and I like it. Pumping is a bit awkward compared to my Crosman & Benjamins as the pump handle actually opens over 90 degrees but effort is LOW. It takes more effort to initially pop it open from the fully closed position than to do a full pump, so not closing it completely is the smart (and recommended) way to pump it. Great performance from just 3 to 5 pumps and for me I saw no noticeable difference between 10 and 15 pumps.
I know there's a measureable difference in FPS, I just didn't see a need for the last 5 pumps.
