Seneca Dragonfly2 trigger work

Ive come to realize that the stiff trigger in my gun is my main obstacle at 40 & 50 yards. These Dragonfly guns seem to have varying triggers from gun-to-gun, and I got a crappy one. Hard to make a shot when the trigger pull is so stiff. I have 500+pellets down its throat, and the trigger has gotten somewhat better.
My Dragonfly trigger is stiff (3.5lbs),and the pull is long. Pulling the bolt back requires alot of force, with a stiff, not-smooth feeling.
First, I tried a SuperSear for a Diana Stormrider. Although the pull was reduced from 3.5lbs to 1.5lbs, it had other issues. The machining on the sear tip was crooked and very rough. Because of this, I didnt feel that there was enough metal to try to smooth and polish it. This caused the gun to not fire often when the trigger was pulled, or causing a noticeable delay after pulling the trigger. Adjusting the trigger screw out far enough to reliably fire every time resulted in a hair-trigger that was extremely touchy. In all fairness, this sear was made for other guns prior to the Dragonfly2, so I knew that it might not work when I got it, but it was worth a try.
So next, I decided to smooth & polish the stock sear. Surprisingly, the stock sear is well made and didnt take too much to shine it up. I was hoping for more of an improvement, but only lowered the full from 3.5 to just a tic under 3lbs.
Now Im looking at the hammer... And, there it is! This explains why the bolt pull is rough as well as the crappy trigger.
I work 2nd shift and dont get to tinker with stuff much, but I will stay up late in the next few days and see what it takes to get this hammer removed from the block & smooth/shine it up. Im new to airgun surgery, but a mechanic by trade. I take stuff apart to see how it works, and try to make improvements. Im not concerned about voiding the guns warranty, and if I wreck it, Ill buy another one for $200.

Here is an update. Chips on hammer-edge took quite a bit of file work, ramp, top, and face; every surface the sear rides on was sanded to 1000grit, then polished with flitz. Sear was also polished earlier and still looks great. Final trigger pull is slightly more than 2.5lbs. Im going to try to find a softer sear spring to hopefully get down to 2lbs. Bolt pulls back much smoother with the polished ramp on the hammer & top smoothed out. see before & after pics.
If you have a Dragonfly2, I will tell you this; every screw, set screw was loose! Many screws were factory-lock-tite and were still loose. I have 500+ shots thru rifle & If I had not disassembled, I would have never known this. Its a great gun, great design, but assembly, workmanship, parts are all sub-par. If you are a tinkerer like me, this is a fun gun to work on & improve.
When I have more time Im going to mess with different sear springs & a softer hammer spring to get the bolt to pull back with less effort. To be continued.

I want to get my hands on a 2 stage
Stormrider trigger and see if it would work. I've tinkered with my DF2, the trigger is just under 3# which is fine but the excessively long travel is the main hindrance to accuracy.

Im now down to 2lb trigger pull & am very happy with how it feels. I found a softer spring for the sear, and cut it to the same length.
Next, Im going to find a softer hammer spring to lower & smooth bolt pull effort. This might effect the trigger pull, and if it gets too light, the stock sear spring will go back in.
This might all seem silly to do to a $200 pump gun, but this gun has so much going for it; real wood & steel the easy pumping design, magazine, super quiet, .22cal, etc. If I can get this gun to shoot accurately past 50 yards, I'll be happy.
