I've heard bad things about the Aussie seals.  Your #'s sure make them look good.

Robert I wish I could get my hands on all that different .20 cal ammo! 

FedEx says my FTT’s will be here some time tomorrow. It will be interesting to see
How my results will compare.

Will be interesting to see if the shot cycle becomes tamer vs .177 as well

Yes 1st is all OEM, 2nd with very tight ARH seal ( I did not work on it or use it very long ), I have had good results with the Aussie seals - have them on multiple guns.

I bought alot of 5mm pellets from Beeman back in 1988 ( Beeman 9.88g only one is this list )- still shooting some, sold some.

Does the shot cyle change much with the different pellets.  In my barrel the H&N 11.42's are hard to seat.  The JSB's very hard to seat(13somethings).
did you need to size the Aussie seals?

Yep, that's December 2018! when the barrel was made, I also appreciate you reading my input on these rifles and using some of my suggestions on parts or seals

Thanks Mark for validating the code. You are a stand up guy, I have always taken note of your trials and tribulations.  The Aussie seal is one of your faves.  I am aiming for 690 plus with the FTT’s with this new setup. I want a solid 12 ft pounds with a nice thud.

I really only shoot the H&N FTT's - they fit fine - not loose or tight.
I do not shoot the JSB's in the HW50 - too heavy in my opinion for a 12 fpe airgun.
( I also have a R1 and a R9 in 5mm and 3 Sheridan rifles and 2 Sheridan Pistols all 5mm )
I used to shoot the Beeman 9.88g - but I sold most of my stock.
I did not work on the Aussie seal - fit good without sizing.

The FTT’s came in…

I inserted a pellet. Not tight in initial breach at all. In fact they can fall out.

Pushed the pellet about a 1/4 inch farther down in the breach the pellet was much tighter, then it pushes through consistent and clean till choke at end of the barrel.

New Aussie seal and a factory spring with about 500 to 1000 shots through it and TBT kit.

Initial Fps were all over. Only about 30 shots taken. The last 5 shots were increasing and in between 630 and 650 Fps like up to 10.7 ft pounds. A bit lower than I expected. 

Should things improve with consistency and higher power after the seal breaks in?

I re centered scope and pellets were near center but about 6 inches low at 12 meters. There is some droop. But initial groups were promising.

Shot cycle is clean and is notably less harsh than .177. Feels really nice to shoot.

Mine ave around 650fps with the FTT's last time I Chronied both of my HW50's in 20cal, also the FTT's I have are very old stock purchased in 2016 or 2017, the head sizes measure .501mm and fit like a glove in all of my .20cal barrels, reports over the past few yrs the FTT's are measuring .490 in the head sizes, and accuracy in some barrels is not as good as some of the other offerings, The FTT's I have are one hole accurate @23yds, and so are the JSB 13.73gn a tic heavy IMO but their very accurate as well! all of the AUSSI seals I have used, and I have several rifles with these seals in them and they required no fitting and had the right feel that I like in a piston seal, I just purchased a few new JM Hornet kits and a few Hornet piston seals to install in my R10 tubed HW98 with the correct spacer and my HW95 in .22cal, MY 98 has a correct 98 barrel on it, but I also have a 12.25' .20cal and a 12.2'' factory threaded .22cal both have cans so I'm trying to decide what caliber to make the 98 when I have time to do the work??? I'm still working 7 days a week and do not have a lot of extra time on my hands!
