Never read a good thing about that bundled pump. That actually makes no sense as it seems it would basically be the same as the 50 dollar Amazon China pumps but maybe not?? I have two China pumps and have rebuilt one. They work well and are super easy to rebuild. I would trash the bundled pump and get one of the others if it continues.

Hello Drew,
I used Teflon Tape on all the fittings for my Origin and my Yong Heng air compressor. I was really careful applying the Tape on to the threads to be sure none of the Tape could get cut/tore loose and wind up in the equipment.
I have sold my Origin but loved the gun, it was extremely accurate at 50-yards, 10-shots that could be covered with a penny and also super quite.
I am 80-years old and just could not hand pump so I bought the compressor which would fill the gun in no time.
Be safe and have a great day,
ThomasT

It won't hurt anything to use plumbers tape on the gauge threads, but the Umarex pumps threads are not a tapered pipe thread, so are not them primary means of sealing the gauge. The white washer you see in the hole is the seal for the gauge.
A drop of silicone oil would not hurt anteing either, just do not use petroleum based oil of any kind.
Do yourself a favor and order a $40-$50 hand pump off of Amazon as a backup. My Umarex pump was always giving me little problems. They were easy to fix, but the cheap Chinese pump I got has never given any problems at all.

"dang", Please help
I was just shooting, 3200 to 1900 psi 4 mags. On the 5th mag starting at 1800-1900 ish the 3rd shot sounded weak and was way low, looked at the gauge and it was completely evacuated of air. Cocked and removed mag, tried to decock and there is no air. Shet, is something wrong with the gun, why did it blow all the air in the final 3 shots? It should have taken it down only a few hundred psi to 1000 or so.

Same thing happened on my first Origin- Loss of shot count from 2000 psi. I sent mine back to Umarex and they returned me a brand new gun.

I believe that is due to the "Ever Pressure System". Happens on mine as well. Hopefully it will accept air from your hand pump. Sometimes when a gun is completely empty of air the only way to fill it is from a tank.

I think I figured out what was going on. Pumped back up to 2000 on pump which is about 1800 on the origin, took 11 shots, 10th shot sounded a lil off and was down to about 1600 on origin gauge, the 11 shot depleted it to 900 psi and I stopped. I think it might be the ever pressure system evacuating more are per shot when the psi is lower or maybe it’s just typical of a pcp to let out more air through the valve when it’s low.
Worked great, I’ll just keep an eye on the gauge if I’m under 2k and keep n ear on the volume change of the gun.
3000 psi will get me 5 mags at 15 yards with minimal change in poi on the pressure curve.

I think your guns ok after reading last post. When I lost shot count from 2000 psi I would only get two shots to red line which isn't right.
