It's fairly long, but still very light. Definitely a potent rifle.

I like the rail for open sights,....I would get an AR carry handle on there and the classic triangular front sight.

I love AR style iron sights, and find them to be the easiest to shoot accurately. Having windage on the back and elevation on the front is the best way. These air rifle sights with fixed front sights not so good.

Yeah I have a couple spare sets of them sights, love them, one of mt AR9s is set up with them.

For a 400+ FPE .50 they would be perfect more so if you going back and forth between bullets and Arrows.

I concur with iron sites; I keep meaning to buy an extra-long low-rise pic rail so I can iron-sightify my Leshiy.  I use it mostly under 40 yards.

I agree with you, I think they are going to price themselves out of the market,

I sent an E-mail to John at New England Airguns a couple months ago about it,.......those are almost Texan prices and will be hard to compete that way,

I would like to see this gun in the -/+ 900 bucks range otherwise shooters will in my opinion just go for a Texan.

Or a new Bulldog457 when it comes out, or a Gunnar 45 when it comes out, or a Hammer out right now, or an AEA out right now. All of these are hovering in the $800+ but under $1200 (I think Zeus is under $1200).

The Zeus is interesting but the 4500 psi is something I will never want to deal with,

Bulldog and Gunair are out the question, Hammer again 4500 psi so,.....nope.

AEA is way to heavy to make it interesting for my type hunting.

Also the inline system is way more conducive to shoot arrows


so to me Airforce and the REX with the weight and power combo are the only one that interest me.

In this day and age of 400 FPE magazine guns, a single shot needs more going on, this gun does not.

Too much competition from high power magazine fed proven platforms like AEA and now Benjamin. If you want a high power single shot, the Texan is King these days, accurate, much more power, man portable, robust proven platform and that black tactical look that appeals to the rowboat admiral in most of us .

Personally, I am a fan of the Bulldog, mine, as a carbine, barrel chopped at the end of the stock, produces 270 FPE, with my cast bullets. I don’t hunt anymore so that is enough power for me.

I am trying to make Kral Bighorn 25 my last  pcp airgun,  having said that a 200 plus FPE .257 would have me laying down funds for something I don’t need.

There was a time when I was hugely infatuated with magazines, the REX platform made me see things differently ( the way I carry/store the ammo reloading is super fast )
....now I value the combination of size, weight, ergonomics far more then multishot capability, after all as a hunter all I strive for is that one shot

I'm with you, magazines aren't that important. I don't need to shoot quickly, but a magazine system is a nice bonus if it works well. A magazine was a requisite for our "homestead gun" for quick follow up shots for intruding predators, not really for hunting.

I have several guns of both types. My favorite for hunting as well as targets is a single. Not sure why, just who I am I suppose. And that goes for pb as well.

Ho yeah there's place and time for everything, if I needed a gun that gave me the opportunity for that quick follow up I would get one of the various AEA options,......the one more suited to my needs, they have just about anything you need covered

AEA really does have just about everything.

I took most of the coyotes in my avatar photo, 58, with a Ruger #3, in 223 with Corbin hand swaged rimfire jacket bullets and spent my first year pesting on the vineyard with a Condor.

I store my Bulldog with magazine inserted, at 3400 psi, with the bolt closed, uncocked with 4 152 hps in the magazine.  All I have to do is work the lever.

Too many home intruders in my past.

If I was hunting for my 52nd Rocky Mountain elk, it would be a 45 or 50 Texan, although my Bulldog with a broad head would kill far more efficiently.

For quick yard work I have both my Winchester .25 with half mag inserted and my 100 FPE .30 with half mag inserted.

.....for home intruders I have my Glock 19 and my AR9 close by
