Accurizing the stock barrel on my C362

I tinkered with my Crosman 362 for several days before I put a single pellet in the bore. Steel Breech, Baker trigger with different spring than the kit uses. Slip on Butt pad for a LOP fit for me. LDC .... and scope .... time to shoot. Put a pellet in the barrel, pretty finicky to load but got it in with my finger went to close the bolt and ...... just at the point the bolt would close everything came to a screeching halt. No go. Forced the bolt closed and shot a few and not a good group. Back to the work bench. Off comes the barrel. The hole in the barrel where the TP sits had a nasty burr that was catching the skirt of the pellets. Small wooden dowel chucked up in the drill with some JB paste and worked on it then pushed a pellet through until I got a good pass over that spot with the pellet. Back out to the Range and well,.... Target 1 is before and Target 2 is after. for groups I was shooting wadcutters but I did try some domes. RWS Superdomes look promising as did Hades. Will keep testing at longer Range. Targets were shot at 20 yards.

 I suspect a burr in my TP port also, just putting off smoothing that out for when I get the metal breach delivered.

I should have added that the Crown was good and the rifling near as I can tell looked good. Each time I pushed the pellet all the way out the end of the barrel and did not encounter any tight spots. If it's chocked it's not tight.

I also neglected to check for a burr there as well however I think that I got lucky with mine.  I really do wonder now if the barrels used on these guns are actually made here in the US because the bore on them seems to be a smidgen tighter than what the barrel is on my Disco and Prod however they still seem to be very accurate regardless.

The new in house Barrels are tighter than the old Disco Prod Mrod barrels... all mine have slugged to right about .217... and that is what my .22 Max barrels like the BBT 30g sized to...

Kriby the 218-25-RF cup points chamber and shoot from them however I've yet to try them on a target yet, I just got ready putting a numbers target on my shooting box and I'll be heading up there soon, I'll be shooting my wad cutters but the next target I shoot up there will be with my 218 slug cup points which weight 24.4 grains and that will be interesting as well, I'll probably not worry too much about zeroing them in though but shoot some groups instead

I only hope that I can read the target numbers through the 9 power bugbuster I have on mine, at least this go around I'll bring my trouble light up there to light up the target better.
