New love for my first Hw30

Today I was doing some housekeeping and found a 50 yard target from 2019. There's a 1" group from a RX1 that I no longer have and a 2" group from my peep sighted Hw30. Finding that made me want to shoot the Hw30 in basement today.

In the stack of old targets was one with empty spots. Since I'm too cheap throw it out, I went downstairs and shot the two empty green columns. The left one was with H&N wadcutters.
The right one was JSB 7.33s. As I took a picture of the 5 shot groups I found an empty pink sticker in the lower corner. It probably yielded my best 5 shot group of the day.

This was all in the basement at ten yards from my elbows on a table. I've been burying myself in my R1, other people's rifles and preparing to move out of NY, I've been neglecting my favorite. Funny how fond memories can bring us back to doing things we enjoy.

I've been out back nearly all day.  I changed out my 30 yard spoons, the originals were about shot to oblivion.  First up, I shot some targets with my HW97K and couldn't get in the groove with a variety of pellets.  I took the 97K inside and took some photos of her.  Next, I broke out my peep sighted HW30S and shot the new 30 yard spinner spoons with some 7.33 gr. AA's.

I love my three each 30 & 50S'.  I'm really starting to think that I have no need/want for any other than my 30 & 50S'.  Oh yeah,  I'll keep the two Beemans for awhile longer, too.

For 30 yards the Hw30s and 50s are all you need for your shooting gallery. In fact outside of large pest, it's just about all anybody needs for thirty yards. What two Beemans are you referring two?

Here's the 50 yds target from 2019 that resparked my interest in shooting the 30 today. It's not spectacular but I think it's pretty decent for 7 grain pellets at 50 yds and open sights.

Yes sir. I wouldn't have it any other way.. Maybe even @ 200 yards. I don't want to jinx myself but God willing I'm retiring June 2023. I've been busy selling off 40 years of accumulated saltwater tackle and anything else I won't need inland. I'm keeping just enough stuff to finish out one last fishing season. Even the boat gets sold in the end of December.

I have a Beeman R7 and a John in PA tuned R9 and love 'em both. 

MY R7 is different from the current R7's.  Her barrel is a couple inches shorter, with a muzzle brake, than are the 30S' plus she has NO open sights.

The neatest little guns. I have these two sweeties and an HW30 with an early R7 stock. Wife loves the peep sight. Loves to destroy cans with her Lil'R7. All 177's. You can shoot them anywhere and enjoy them.

Yes he does. I've been there a few times. His place is great. He has spinners and plates set up all the way out to 102 yards. Mobil target boards for paper shooting. It's set up like a airgun heaven. More importantly he and his wife are greatly people. I brought my Gwen with me last time and we had a great time shooting and talking. When I have a place to shoot they're welcome any time.

I also feel I do not need any more air rifles. I am very happy with two R7's and really like the new HW50. No interest at this point of trying something new, as I plan on shooting these for a long time.

I'm not moving until June 2023. We still have time to shoot together. Good luck with the cataract surgery. Call me when you get through it.
