My own province of BC is over 81% first dose and over 64% fully vaccinated as of yesterday....

Given what's his name's address Thursday afternoon, your fears are well founded.  It appears that Texas and Oklahoma have joined the SEC.  I hope we'll have a collegiate football season this fall.
