I couldn't resist posting this to your question, do we mod our stocks: sometimes! Why did I mod this B3 rifle stock? For the fun of it, really, but I thought there might be something to gain by doing it. The mod was to make the grip more vertical and scooping out the wood above and behind the grip made the rifle into a more of a comfortable, "target" shooter. There is a nice, oval-shaped thumb rest behind the action that you can't see that keeps my hold more consistent. Oh the paint job...that's just me being goofy. The results? I like using the gun more than I used to, it makes me smile. Did it improve handling and accuracy? I think it did! Usually, modifying an air gun like this will seriously devalue it for potential resale, but devaluing a B3? Not an issue! So if you think your rifle or pistol needs some changes to make you like it better AND you don't mind if the resale value drops, then by all means, have fun and learn along the way! We only get one go-round, so enjoy!
