Bronze as a mold material?

After reading sb327's (Dave's) posts on making his own molds; I've started playing around with the idea of trying it myself... Only armchair engineering going on at the moment; so nothing definite, but would bronze be a good material for bullet molds? Have several small bars of bearing bronze that I saved from a scrap bin; and also some aluminum...
Just playing around with the idea right now; still working on building a small lathe, so I do not have the capability yet but lining up the projects for when I do
...

Molds have been made from brass/bronze with good success. I have not used it but do know cutting tools for brass need to be shaped a bit different than those for steel/aluminum. Brass and bronze has a tendency to pull the bit into itself. A positive rake on the bit is advised.

Thanks for the tips; I know about the tooling differences... First part I tried to make out of bronze was a small snug for a surface gage; was feeding the 5/16" (normal grind) drill real slow for finish; so it didn't grab until it broke through... Yanking the little block out of the vise and eliciting an audible response
