20 post Initiation period?

Are new members allowed to post a new topic immediately?
I don't know if this has changed but you werent able to start a new topic until after 20 or so posts.  I think this was to prevent trolls and get people used to how the system works. I haven't seen much trolling but I have seen a couple new topics by members with less than 20 posts.

There's never been a limit of posts to start a thread. Matter of fact, before you can get your membership approved, you are REQUIRED to make an introduction post.

You aren't allowed to post in the classifieds until you have been a member at least 30 days and have at least 20 posts. That is to prevent hit and run scammers and to prevent folks from using GTA as a classified only site. That's not what we are here for. The classifieds were added as a bonus to our active members.

Ok.  Thanks.  I must have been thinking about the classifieds.  I do remember waiting for 20 replies to start a topic and thinking, "man I should've asked this in my welcome post".

Rocky, you are correct about the 20 posts.  And your 30 days will be past in about another week.
