Came across one of these in an antique/thrift-store. Any idea what model or year? They had priced it at 80 bucks. Sorry for photo quality... just had my cell phone cam.

model 101 or 102 i believe. I've heard those are good guns. That would make a nice project gun if it doesn't shoot. Actually doesn't look to be in too bad of condition. 80 bucks seems like a good price to me. I dont know a WHOLE lot about them and their worth though. I think I'd take it if I saw that deal in front of me. LOL

Thanks for the replies. It may have been a good pick up at $80. The wood and metal were in good condition. However it did not have the rear sight and I didn't pump it to see if it held air.
Saw it at an antique store about and hour and half drive from home when we were on a Labor Day road trip... I'll be back thru there in a month. Might have another crack at it.

Crosman 101 if it's .22 caliber, 100 if it's .177 caliber.
They made these rifles from the late 1920's to 1949, and there are subtle changes to help narrow down when the rifle was built. If the top of the receiver around the breach is beveled it is an older gun. Straight bolt handles are older than curved ones, and the shape of the cocking knob can also help date a 101.

If you go back to check on it, you need to cock it first before pumping. Otherwise the air will go right out the barrel, even if the seals are good.
Parts are available from Bryant and Associates I believe.
$80 is a great deal if it will hold air and shoot. Not too bad even if it needs seals

Thanks for all the info. I may have to break open the piggy bank before I head back that way.
