Trigger - Hatsan MOD 95

Hi all, I have about 1000 pellets through my MOD 95 now.

It's happened 3 time so far, just recently:

- Cock the rifle
- Insert pellet
- Release the safety
- Pull the trigger and nothing
- Re-cock the gun
- Release the safety
- Trigger works and gun shoots

Any ideas?

Safety is not fully off, or gun is not fully cocked.

PS learn the quatto trigger pull.  Do a search on GTA to find out what it is...

I had similar issues with my Quattro trigger. I tried many things, in the end I found that the trigger group pinholes, window and slot all had high spots or small burrs that could contact and interfere with the sears’ movement. I used a small file to knock down the burrs/high spots. Haven’t had the trigger fail/misfire since.

Have you ever cleaned the trigger group? AFter removing the trigger group from the gun, Sometimes just dipping it in acetone and swishing it around is enough b/c trying to reassemble one of those is TRICKY. Then spray it real good with Balistol to relube it. Its not an ideal way to do it but it worked for me b/c I'm not interested in trying to reassemble one. Those quattro triggers can be buggered up rather easily if a piece of grit gets in there, a spring gets bent wierd and snags on to stuff. Or maybe the thumb safety is bent out of shape. I've had to deal with all those issues all on the same trigger before. On my 135 there's a piece of plastic that is set in the stock right in front of the trigger and if it slides out of place it can interfere with cocking, the safety, all that. I don't know if the 95 has that piece of plastic. Its thick and kind of L shaped.

Thanks for the tips below. I too would prefer not to mess with the trigger group, but at the very least inspect and clean as suggested. The MOD 95 also has the plastic part that sits in the stock in front of the trigger group. I glued that down when I removed the stock and reassembled upon initial inspection when first purchased.
