How is the Benjamin or Hatsan 1.5l PCP tank?

I haven't really seen much posed on the Benjamin "guppy" PCP tank. Found a few threads mentioning it but no reviews or the like.

I have a 6.8L SCBA tank that is working well, but it's not super portable. My birthday's coming up soon enough and I have some Amazon store credit burning a hole in my pocket. Thought about buying one of those Acecare tanks off Amazon but 2 issues: one is that it's not DOT so can't get it certified, and the other is if I ever want to sell, a non-DOT, non-hydro-tested cylinder would be difficult to move.

Joe Brancato's tanks are very nice, but it's $50 more and I have that Amazon credit. If I had to pay full price for both, Joe's tank all day.

Then there's the Hatsan 1.6l tank, and it's about $260 on Amazon. The only thing is it has a UN listing and not DOT but should be hydro-testable.

Too bad the "guppy"-sized tanks don't come up in the used market hardly at all.

Hit up Rat Sniper. He has a Benji guppy tank that I've been trying to finagle off of him.  I also have a 75cf SCBA (I think that's roughly the same size as your 6.8L) that I picked up for a pretty good deal. This year it'll be three years old, so I still have a good bit of life left on it. I'm actually looking to pick up a guppy tank for those days where the sole mission is jungle walking.

And a bigger SCBA is also on the list. I've been eyeing JB's 97cf Great White, but sweet mama that price tag. Maybe I'll just pick up another 75cf and call it a day.

I got a Draeger 45 min/6.8l SCBA tank off ebay for about $95 shipped, and it passed hydro.

JoeB's stuff is good but he needs to move out of Cali because the prices are way too high for me.

But yeah, I want a guppy tank since I don't hardly ever have a chance to do enough shooting in 1 day to drain more than a small tank. I mostly wonder if that Hatsan tank is decent enough, it would be about $45 or so shipped after my Amazon credit.

FWIW:

I have a JB Guppy (112ci) tank and a Benji (90ci) tank.  The JB is a dual gauge (tank and fill) and have a removable 3'+ microbore hose.   ie options from JB.  I think Joe also has the 90ci, ie minnow.
 
The Benji uses a valve from JB, but has a fill gauge, and no means to add a 2nd.  You use a dead head to read what is left in tank.   It only has a 1' attached hose.  I bought fittings to make it removeable, though.  I purchased this when it was a screaming deal at sportsman guide.  I think it was like $250 at the time. 

Air Hog has a 90ci tank that looks feature equivalent to the Benji.

Much smaller, but I was considering the tank and gauge below for refilling a Bandit pistol and a Fortitude, since they have small cylinders.

If you're not going to use your Amazon credit on much else, then I'd say go for it. 45bux for a guppy tank is a hard deal to pass.

The tanks are built by NINJA.

They are great tanks.
They fit in the bucket for Ft shooting.
