I know it has been discussed in the past and yes I have read the thread. I was just looking to see if there are any new prospectives on the matter. I currently own a 34 in .177 and it's a laser beam. I was contemplating on buying a second and just stick with that one platform that I am familiar and comfortable to shoot and tune. One thing I don't want to do is sacrifice accuracy for power. In your opinion, can a tuned .22 RWS 34 be as accurate as the .177? I am talking 1/4 inch or hole on hole at 25 yards.

My 340 N-tec can do a 1/2 inch 5 shot group if I do my part and there is no wind, 3/4 inch 10 shot groups.I am not sure there is any .22 spring gun that can do a 5 shot group at 25 yards that is 1/4 inch c-t-c. The pellets are larger! -Y

They can be darn accurate. Just shot this out back. It's a t05 trigger, 18 yards with my hand between stock and step ladder. The guides are still factory. Factory spring was on the way out estimating pellet count, and it had the classic kink an inch from one end. A new Maccarri spring and Diana factory seal added on the weekend. 100 shots through it so I don't assume it's broke in. And a 52 year old behind the wheel with scope set to 4x. Flyer is my trigger control but that's 5 shots. I think the 22 calls are fine. And I have a HW97 KT .177 to compare to.

Thanks guys ,it sounds like the .22 is right up there with the .177 in this platform.
