While I was in Texas at Grace Ranch, the plan was to get some hunting in with high hopes to get my first coyote. We set a few cameras up, baited and checked them for a couple days to get an idea of their habits. We had a lot of activity on camera and even in broad daylight. I was super excited to get out there and get ‘em! I went to Airgun Pro Shop’s shooting range and sighted in the Winchester 70-35 and the ATN X-Sight 4K Pro at 50 yards. It really only takes two shot to sight it in but heck I love shooting big bores, so I sent some lead down range and I’m happy with the results! 
We set several times within a few days, had a couple shots but no successful recoveries. The last night we set, we didn’t see the first coyote, it was 24 degrees and I was heading home the next day. With it getting late and I was so itching to shoot something, a kangaroo rat presents a perfect opportunity. I’ve always wondered what a big bore would do to small game…that’s what I call a pellet and accuracy test! Cut that bad boy almost in half! I may not always get what I’m hunting but I love the hunt itself! Thanks Rick, let’s do it again, but this time I want to get me a coyote!
