My Diana 34 ate my Mantis 3-9 x 40 AO mil dot reticle "bundled" scope.

After only 500 or so shots my Mantis " made in China " scope no longer exists. now it sounds like a baby's rattle. Any scope recommendations for the Diana 34? I shoot at a plinking station, between 10 and 20 yards, steel spinners and hanging metal plates. Don't hunt, don't shoot in low light conditions. Would like something light and durable, around 100-150 dollars. I know, durable is probably IMPOSSIBLE !! Ive read UTG, Leapers, Hawke etc etc thanks for the H E L P !!

Hawke and Leapers both offer lifetime warranties if you retain the receipt.  The downside might be shipping to and from Mexico.  A zero recoil mount can extend the life of a scope a LOT and may not cost a lot more than one shipment for warranty service.  Unfortunately they don't work with short scopes.  You will need 4 3/4" (about 12 cm) between the belled ends.

If memory serves, PA had a bunch in their refurb section for awhile because while they might have been ok on PCP's, spring gun users ended up with the same problem you have and returned them.

Do some surfing and see if you can find any deals on the Hawke Airmax scopes. I own 7 and 6 of those are on springers and gas rams in my sig. Designed and built for spring piston air rifle use, life time warranty and the random lame thought is the 2-7x32 would work very well for the short distances you shoot.

I don't know about Mexico in specific, but to Brazil I have a problem.  The US government demands an - export license - to any scopes.  Same from UK government, when the zoom is bigger than 9x.

A few years ago, and to scopes in the price range of US$ "250", I was unable to find a vendor motivated to get the export license.

Then, I found a vendor in Slovenia that has a GREAT pre and post sale customer service.  Warranty is a NO problem.

Anything from Vortex. It comes with a unconditional lifetime warrenty. No need for a receipt, or if someone gave the scope to you, as long as you send them the broken unit they will replace it.

Both Hawke Vantage and the Hawke Airmax were doing well on my 34 (I have sold her unfortunately).

If you consider to buy the Vantage, please buy the IR version. Like the Airmax, the Vantage IR has an etched reticle so no broken reticles anymore.

I've recently bought the above scope, and so far have been very, very impressed for its super low price point. How it will up to  piston/spring guns remains to be seen.

I came across the Tasco website, and they actually have a line specifically for air guns. If this line of scopes is anything like the Varmint, I own, I think you should be very pleased with it.

Have a BSA 22 Special on Diana 350 Mag for years.  Thousands of shots and solid as a rock.  Cheap too!
