New 2100 and 1377 observations - thoughts?

So I played with my new 2100 and 1377 some today.  They are right out of the box.

The 2100 has a great feel to it, pumps smooth, and feels solid.

The 1377 feels just rickety.  I'm not so sure I'd want to dump $100-$150 into it.  Pumping is not smooth, nor is the pump stroke very rigid compared to the 2100.

Do the 1377's get more solid if you put some work into them?

Put washers between the pump lever.

You need to remove the pin that holds the barrel band though.

   Hmm. My 1377 and 1322 both seem very solid.  I didn't go hog wild with them. Just steel breeches, skeleton stocks and rifle scopes.

The 1377 isn't horrible - but the pump lever has a fair amount of slop side to side - definitely wiggles, where the 2100 just feels solid and smooth.

Is this common?  And if you order a Custom Shop 1300kt are they any better quality than a standard 1322 or 1377?

My 1377 is fairly solid.  I cannot comment on the CCS 1300KT, but I've mentioned how much I enjoy my 2400KT in a number of threads. 

If you have a desire to go with a pumper, you can actually build a frankenpumper using a 2100 pump tube as the base, then go crazy from there.  I'm personally not a fan on loading pellets into the 2100 as it is out of the box (hard for my fingers to load .177s), and it is not available as a .22- - - -  so if you want a .22 pumper using Crosman Lego parts and the 2100 tube, it is viable and possible, but you have to build it
