Nutter mange???

i just finally got the big ugly male nutter who has been evading me, over the last few weeks.  he was pillaging my feeder, which i had just placed a new seed block in last night... and there is less than 1/4 of it left.    he was in very p!$$ poor shape.  his whole hind end was almost hairless, slightly discolored, and he had very bad circular scabs.  i did not even bother to skin it.  he appeared healthy, in form, but his physical shape was just poor.  14.3 cphp, punched right through both shoulderblades at 20 yards.  hit him in the exact spot i held, offhand.  very accurate little rifle.  i'm curious however, do nutters get mange?  i can't seem to find anything on it, infecting anything other than coyotes and dogs.  but i guess it could... its exactly what it looked like.  and possibly infected with botworms (the circular scabs).  i hope i was putting this poor fellow out of his misery... if he was uncomfortable that is.

They can get it bro I've put down nutters just because they had some nasty problem's, sore's, mange and one with all the hair missing off the back half of his body and he was a sickly looking nutter. Ed

i should have snapped a few photo's, but i was slightly upset about not getting to harvest him for my freezer.  not a proud kill in my opinion.

no sir, i shot him with my new to me CFX.  its so accurate, i nearly have to decide which dimple on his cute little destructive face i want to shoot.  i actually took him in the shoulder, because of the angle, 14.3 cphp, went through both shoulderblades, took out hte pumphouse, and kept on flying.  nutter dropped, did a good jump off the tree, and took off running, and just folded up about 3 seconds after jumping.  was almost as if it were a deer.... shot perfectly through the heart and lungs with an ought six...

Do you still have the Titan, or did you give up on them?

i gave up on them.  i have most of the parts of my spring compr3essor together, so what i may do is buy another one because there so darn cheap, and rip it down to tinker with.  i love the gas ram, but just kept having problems with scopes, and seals.  unless i convert my CFX to gas ram that is...

I killed a squirrel several years ago that was ate up with the mange.  It was really icky!  Bleh.
