How to fit a crosman 1322 after-market pivot pin

I see allot of posts about people replacing the original pivot pin (a roll pin). But my Crosman 1322’s pump arm(which I purchased a month ago), barely has any clearance for a nut, o-ring, e-clip, or even a screw head. I'm not sure when it was manufactured. When I go on google images and look at pictures of 1322's with the aftermarket pins, they are always using pump arms that don't look like mine.

The one from Alchemy Works is the best.

It is stainless and is flushed when installed..They are secured by 2 mini  dome-head stainless hex screws.

Put a small radius on the corners of the plastic pump handle using a file.

This might be slightly off topic, but I too have been eyeballing my pivot pin and thinking about replacing it.  I hate roll pins.  One thing that I have not noticed anyone do yet, but which I think would be a handy mod, would be to attach a sling swivel with a bolt that replaces the pivot pin.  It would make it handy to carry, when using the carbine stock.

The forearm on my brand new 1322 is the same way, as psipumper said I'd just file the corners down if necessary.

I think the newer model with the different stock is called the P1377 & P1322.

I have both here, & I'm pretty sure the pivot pin is different on these compared to the older models.

Same part #130-030. I liked the old solid pin with a c-clip used on the early 760s. The tubes are all the same diameters.

Those C-clips will scar your tubes.

I like the Alchemy one better and it looks much cleaner.

All you need is about 5 minutes, a flat surface and a few different grits of sand paper to round the front of the pump grip. I uploaded a photo of mine, sorry it is so dusty. I use a solid mellon air pivot pin with a nylon washer under each nut.

I had one of Alchemy’s bend badly on my 2289. The stainless steel is soft and those pins are hollow through/threaded I.d. On ends. I used some hardened steel rod cut just long enough to protrude where I cut grooves for o-rings to hold pin in place. I pump mine WAY over 10 times (modified for holding more air) and this is the only reason Alchemy’s bent on me. He’s got some good stuff including replacement pump handles, albeit wood.

Probably the Alchemy pin can be reinforced with a rod, like a drive pin.
