1322 pump arm issue

So I started my first 1322 build tonight. Had no issues getting it all apart or together. So I thought. So when I Went to try to pump the pistol, the pump handle is hitting the compression tube. This is limiting travel of the piston enough that air isn’t even able enter the compression tube. What am I missing? I am sure there is something small I am slightly off. I don’t know if I’m just fried from work or what. But I cannot figure it out.

Can you show us a pic of the underside of the assembly in the fully "open" uncocked position?

If you put everything back together that came out, you should start to feel at least some pressure building as soon as the piston seal starts moving rearward. Perhaps not so much on the first two or so strokes, but for sure afterward on successive strokes.

That’s the issue. I can’t get it fully open. The pump arm is hitting the tube.

Exactly where is it hitting the tube? Is there any way you can show a photo of it at the point where it's hitting?

I have already taken several photos. Trying to figure out if I can post them directly from my phone. Basically the bottom muzzle end of the pump handle, is hitting the bottom portion of the barrel hand/end cap of the compression tube. I could relieve material from the handle or the barrel band. But I haven’t heard of that ever being needed. So I am thinking I have something out of alignment or just plane wrong.

Ok. So is it the plastic pump handle that is hitting the comp tube? If so, I think you may have the plastic handle installed backward.

I know that sounds silly, but it's the only thing I can think of at this point, without seeing a pic of your assembly.

You should be able to "attach" a pic from your phone if you do the editing and posting from your phone. Click on "Attachments and other options" and then choose the file from your phone's photos.

I'd really like to see what this problem is all about.

The difference may be the difference in the "length" of the barrel band. If you are swapping bands to use a longer barrel,put them side by side and see if the newer is longer.

 I ran into this, and I cut the front sight and drilled out the OEM one. My "newer" one was about 1/8" longer.

Yeah, pics would help... I'm having a problem trying to picture your issue in  my mind.

You hit the nail on the head. I measured it real quick before heading to work. It’s 3/16” longer then the OEM one. I am just going to relive the material and call it good. I would prefer the support from the steel barrel band. My OEM one is a rather loose fit.
