Who will make a WAR Flex barrel?

I took a chance that Jim still had barrels laying around and emailed him for a .22.  Fingers crossed.

If not, maybe Scott will let me jump in on the bandwagon and ask for a .22 barrel? 

I'll post back what Jim says.  His splash page said that he still had tons of parts left...not sure which ones, though.

Placed the TJ's orders this morning, they will ship today.   Email communication went smoothly   once in my hands I will send to Scott.  Ordered 2 barrels, 1 25" for the flex  and one 21"  for one of my QB's.

Well, Jim and I are transitioning his barrel operation to me. I'm familiar with his operation and techniques. We live in the same community.  I'm actually working on one now for an Impact, 22cal slug barrel. I'll make a post when I get it all setteled in. In the mean time, I'll become habitual about checking my PM's here for any questions.

Will you be selling WAR parts and repair items.
Is it just barrels or are you the new WARmaster of the company.

I have 3 WAR Airguns and want to know if Cobra valve and regulator rebuild parts will be available in the future.

For the record, I have no intension of selling WAR parts. I think Jim may still have some inventory unless he used it up on the last few builds that he had to deliver. Jim approached me about the barrels and that fits with other ventures that I'm getting into.  I'm familiar with his process and will maintain this process. I am meeting with him soon to discuss equipment or taking possession of his barrel equipment.  For now, unchoked barrels are all that I'm doing. I'll make a post as soon as I'm setup for choking. It won't be long. I'm working on a website and transaction method as I post.

it's great to see some of Jim's products/services are transitioning.  For clarification, the barrel business you will be assuming responsibility for, is this limited to the hammer forged barrels Jim offered for Mrods?  Or will you be supplying a broad range of rebarreling services?



Regarding this thread, my TJ's order arrived today.  Barrels look great and are cut a little over the length ordered, which is a very nice surprise.  I plan to get things shipped off to Scott next week.

Thanks for the help guys, I really appreciate it.

I could easily send the oem 17" barrel as a template, or perhaps even the complete upper.  To me the Flex is such a large platform that the 17" barrel is a waste.  for my uses it's already a supported-shooting-only gun, adding another 7 inches of overall length is nothing but a positive.  It would be awesome to turn it into a 150, maybe 200 fpe bullet shooter.  I have both unregulated and cobra regulated blocks, WAR, WAR Cobra, and Powerhouse valves for it. 

Later this evening I'll shoot Scott a PM.

Just as an FYI, barrel should be no problem, shroud is out having no way to make tube ends square & true ( lathe does not have a large enough spindle hole )

How big are the shrouds Scott.  David

David----call it 1" od with a .055 wall.  Not exact measurements, but as close as my Harbor Freight calipers will get.
