I always loved the Gatling Gun.I've been thinking about trying to build one using the SMG .22 as the base.Grab some cheap .22 barrels from Crosman then do the hard work to get it all working.I'm thinking the electronic trigger used in Tippmann paintball guns could be adapted to work.Is that a crazy idea?
You got my gears turning. A swashplate with probes that go through the belt to load the pellets into the barrel. Then some sort of manifold to blast the pellet out when it lined up to the transfer port.
It's been done with BB's.So that's boring to me.Now a modded SMG .22 with a motor driven barrel assembly would be more what I'd like to see!It can be belt fed as it is. Just doing the barrel assembly and timing it would be the tough part.Well. Loading the belt is probably the worst part!Get the mechanicals working then hook it up to a regulated Nitrogen tank?Cecrops! Son of Vulcan!

I'm also thinking it would need a heater element as they do get cold!
